What is a Solar Battery? In short solar batteries, or solar power storage, allow you to store electricity generated from the sun through your solar panels for later use.

Adding solar batteries is a great way to use more renewable energy, utilising the power you generate yourself and decreasing your reliance on the grid. If required, we can also design systems which can deliver emergency power to your home in the event of a power cut.

Lately, we’ve found that some homeowners have opted for battery storage even without having solar panels- for example their roof may not be suitable for having such a system. The homeowner then utilises an off-peak cheap energy tariff to charge the batteries overnight, and dissipate the energy the next day during peak periods, meaning they are running their home with much cheaper electricity.

How Do Solar Batteries Work?
